The Anton Schneider 8 day musical cuckoo clock must be wound only once per week. These cuckoo clocks use the German "Regula" #34, 8 day musical cuckoo clock movement which is very reliable and service friendly.

Musical cuckoo clocks come with two melodies unless indicated otherwise. After the call of cuckoo at the top of the hour the music will play as the dancers dance, if applicable to the clock. Much of the movement is controlled by the control arms and wires during this time which cause the water-wheel to turn, saws to saw and choppers to chop. A busy clock. These clock will play one of two melodies unless otherwise indicated, that will change every hour.

All musical cuckoo clocks come with a night shut-off switch as a lever on the left side of the cuckoo clock or the automatic night shut-off switch as inidcated respectively.

The chains are produced with a tarnish-proof material and a fully synthetic, low viscosity oil for long periods before re-oiling.
